Old Station Tintern

Old Station, Tintern is a visitor site providing the Destination Wye Valley exhibition which provides a focus for exploring Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
The Old Station itself is a restored Victorian railway station on the former Wye Valley Railway which provides visitor facilities including a café. There is also a shop set up in a converted railway carriage.
The the Destination Wye Valley exhibition includes an audio-visual display of the railway heritage. A converted signal box is used for other short-term displays.
The site also has picnic areas,a camping area, riverside meadows, a play area plus a model railway operating on selected days. Events are organised throughout the year by Monmouthshire Countryside Service click here to find out more.
